Working at Phorms Campus Frankfurt Taunus

The Phorms Campus Frankfurt Taunus is located in Steinbach (Taunus). The nursery, primary school with reception and secondary school are situated on an area of over 10,000 m². A total of over 700 children receive bilingual education in German and English here.

Get To Know Our Campus

Our Phorms Campus Frankfurt Taunus opened its doors in 2009. Just two years later, the primary school received state recognition as an alternative school and, with the recent recognition of the upper school, our entire secondary school has also been a state-recognised alternative school since 2020. Our spacious campus, which houses the nursery, the primary school with a reception and the secondary school, focuses on the needs of over 700 children and their bilingual education.

Our pedagogical team consists of around 115 people and supports the children and students aged 6 months to 18 years in growing into independent, open-minded and globally minded young people. Our bilingual concept plays a key role in this, as does our focus on STEM subjects. In addition, around 15 administrative employees ensure that everything runs smoothly.

As the campus is located in the middle of nature, we have networked with local partners. Thanks to these collaborations, you can explain ecological education to the children at first hand. We also make use of the good-equipped sports facilities in the immediate neighbourhood.

Which Department Are You Interested In?

Your Advantages

For you as an educator, one of the biggest advantages is that you can get involved yourself and keep learning about new concepts from all over the world. We also finance German courses for the English employees so that communication between everyone involved is always good and solution-oriented. With a 39-hours-working week, you have 32 vacation days to relax.

"I am the main person in charge here, but making sure that everyone really feels comfortable here and can get involved is a question of attitude and what is also important to me as a manager." - Lisbeth (Head of Nursery)

Equipment

In addition to bilingualism, we have a focus on nature and see the forest and meadows as important resources. We also regularly use the school library and the school auditorium.

Organization

Our daycare centre with crèche and kindergarten has been part of the Phorms Campus Frankfurt Taunus since 2015. Around 80 children are cared for here in a partially open concept. These are divided into a crèche group and three daycare groups for children aged 3 and over. Our childcare ratio exceeds the legally required staffing ratio, as additional specialist employees with English as their mother tongue work in the groups. The internal administrative processes are short and we work closely with the other departments, especially the reception of the primary school. We regularly exchange ideas and develop together in team meetings and supervision sessions.

Your Advantages

Thanks to our team-teaching model and a class size of around 24 students, we have a very good staffing ratio. Additional specialists such as a campus school psychologist, support teachers as well as DaF and ESL teachers enable targeted support in small groups. Last but not least, we also offer German courses for native English speakers to make it easier for them to communicate with colleagues and parents.

Equipment

Our elementary school offers digitally very well-equipped and high-quality furnished classrooms as well as a dedicated laptop for you as a teacher. There is also a light-flooded library that you can integrate into your lessons, as well as the adjacent forest, which you can transform into a classroom surrounded by greenery.

Organization

Our primary school also has a Reception class, so that even the youngest children benefit from learning together with the older children. This also promotes English language acquisition at an early age. The classes each have around 24 students, and teachers and educators work hand in hand.

We mainly employ international or bilingual specialists as class teachers. German-speaking teachers mainly teach German, general studies and PE.

As a teaching assistant, you will greet the children in the morning during early care. In your role as a Teaching Assistant, you will also support the children in class, work with differentiated learning groups and assist the teacher in organizing the lessons. If you wish, you can also use your creativity and strengths to look after the children during the holiday programme.

Your Advantages

As an educator, you can use your personal strengths and interests and create your own activities. This means you can get involved in much more than just childcare and homework support.

Short administrative processes and uncomplicated purchasing and reimbursement of expenses ensure that you can focus entirely on your skills when implementing your own projects. You are entitled to 30 days of vacation per year for relaxation.

Equipment

Our afternoon and holiday programmes are well-equipped. There are numerous rooms and materials at your disposal.

Organization

As an all-day school, we also offer our children early and afternoon care as well as holiday activities. Over 200 children take advantage of our afternoon activities from 4-6 pm. As an educator for the afternoon, you not only support the teacher in the classroom, but also play an active role in designing the holiday programme. Every day there are 6-7 different clubs from which the children can choose at the beginning of the school year. Holiday camps on various topics take place during the holidays.

Your Advantages

As a teacher, you will receive your own laptop for digital work. Our high academic standards promote both the professional and personal development of our students and offer you the opportunity to teach in a challenging and supportive environment. Small class sizes allow for differentiated teaching. Our own school psychologist advises teachers and supports team processes in the classroom if required. Internal administrative processes are streamlined and we work closely with the management team.

"We need courageous teachers who are not afraid to fail, but on the contrary are able to live and communicate a tolerant culture of error." - Gabriele (Head of School)

Equipment

The classrooms in our secondary school have digital equipment and structures that enable contemporary, modern and learner-centered teaching. The secondary school has its own library, which students use for self-study or as an extended classroom.

Organization

At our secondary school, particularly high-achieving students can choose between the G8 and G9 courses. In addition to the focus on STEM subjects with our own Phorms Science Center, holistic personal development is also an integral part of the curriculum.

Your Advantages

In addition to an attractive salary, we offer you 30 vacation days and a strong community within our team. Whether it's bowling or a visit to the Christmas market - employee events are also part of our programme.

The parents and children on our campus value your work and see you as an integral part of our nursery and school life. We also support your professional development through regular training and further education opportunities.

Equipment

Our administrative employees are all equipped with a laptop and generally have two screens at their disposal.

Organization

Our school administration team keeps everything together. The colleagues work closely with the various departments and receive support from our central department at our headquarters in Berlin. Your tasks are varied and offer plenty of scope for creativity. In the administration team, commercial and technical staff work hand in hand to ensure that everyday school and daycare operations run smoothly.
